The ring has had a 9ct gold insert in the inside of the shank (possibly a resize), there is some surface scratching to the glass over the hair- please see pictures. Inscribed to the back with ' Catharine Foxcroft Died 17th Feb 1817 aged 87'. Nice clean seed pearls, with clean black enamel around the outside. Very wearable item. Weight:- The item is approx. 4.6 grams. Hallmarks:- The item is unmarked, but fully tests as 15ct Gold. Measurements:- The ring is a UK size K 1/2, US size 5.75. The base of the ring shank is approx. 4mm wide. The stone setting is approx. 1.9cm x 1.3cm wide. The pearls are approx. 3mm wide each. The hair section is approx. 7mm x 5mm wide.
